True gold does not fear the test of fire

Welcome to the web site of the Pioneer Tae Kwon Do Association.
An association dedicated to bringing the 'Martial' back into the art of Tae Kwon Do.

The Pioneer Tae Kwon Do Association is non-political and is open to any schools of Tae Kwon Do that follow either Ch'ang Hon / ITF based format or the Kukki / WTF formats, as well as schools of other forms of Taekwon-do.

The Pioneer Tae Kwon Do Association does not dictate how to run your club, when or what to include in colour belt gradings, but instead works on a system known as '
Key Stages' to impliment certain elements of Tae Kwon Do that form the basis of effective self defence. It does not frown upon competition, but simply puts preference on the martial side of Tae Kwon Do first.

The Pioneer Tae Kwon Do Association offers help, support, advice for both students and instructors of Tae Kwon Do, senior Kup & Dan grade group training sessions and black belt gradings, as well as giving member instructors an equal say on how the association progresses, irrespective of grade.

If you value Tae Kwon Do as a martial art first, rather than a martial sport; are open to new innovative ideas and your main motivation is to ensure your students are capable black belts, then this is the association for you.

Please use the links to read more about what we offer and feel free to
contact us with any questions you may have.

As of September 2008, the Pioneer Taekwon-do Association has received acknowledgement of recognition and support for what the association is aiming to achieve by lendendary Taekwon-do Pioneer, Master Willie Lim, 8th degree.
